Moving house - options???

I have sky+ currently but am moving house.
Any thoughts on the best options here:

    1. Just tell them I am moving and bring the box with me. Get them to install it.

    2. Cancel Sky. Rejoin as a new customer in new address. Get first month free I believe.

    3. I notice an offer in another topic about a free sky+ box if you introduce a friend. Does the person "introducing" you to sky also need to be a sky+ customer or will a standard sky customer do? Anyone know?

    Thanks.

I signed up under that offer. The "introducer" had to be a Sky+ customer. I thought that the offer ended back in the middle of June...

Looks like the offer is being repeated although I didnt realise it already existed (and neither do Sky apparently)
I suspected the referrer had to be a Sky+ customer as implied from the wording but not actually stated on the offer.
    Thanks for the clarification 5h4mr0(K

I guess that option 1 above would be your most expensive option. You would have to pay for installation as well as change billing address.
If you are still in contract with Sky then this may be your only option whether you pay Sky or an independent to do it. At most you might get a new dish and cabling.

A combination of 2 and 3 should be by far the better option if you can organise it.
You will need to be out of contract (over 12 months on your previous contract).
At that stage AFAIK the equipment should be yours. You may even have the older box not compatable with Anytime so even better to upgrade.
Cancel your contract, you have 30 days (unless they are willing to offer you a very decent option such as in the new offer - you could give various reasons for cancelling eg moving and NTL in new house - but dont tell them new address just yet)
Ask a friend or relative with Sky+ to help you avail of the offer (more details on other thread or pm me you email)
Start new contract at new house. Might be better to use partners name/ different phone number or different bank a/c as I am sure such details could link back to your old contract and they might cite some T&Cs under which you cant avail of the offer.
