The current camera I have is a lidl nytech one. Initially it was ok but it seems a bit slow when trying to take pictures of a baby who is lightning fast!

I was all set to buy this online from pixmania for 200, but looked locally and found it in Currys for 199.

Basically, all I want a camera for is for family pictures, maybe at a stretch holiday photos. Looked at slr cameras but I think it's not where I'm at now.

Is this a good buy for what I'm looking for? I did look at the "what should I buy" thread, and that at least helped me decide on a bridge type camera!

    Thanks

    Excellent buy at €199.

They were out of these actually, so I went for the s6500 for 279. I know it's on pixmania for 238, but i've had trouble with them before! Pity no combined sd/xd slot, but I think the added features make up for it...
