What is the story with having two part time jobs?
I am working in one shop at the moment and got another job in another shop, I gave the new shop my PPS number. What sort of tax system am I looking at?
Would I get emergency taxed in my new job?

    Does anyone know, Cheers! :)

Ring/write to the Revenue Commissioners and ask them to split your tax credits between the two. If you don't, all your credits will remain with your first employer and you will be taxed heavily in the second job.

The new job will have informed the revenue you're working there but the requst to split the credits can only come from you.

On top of this, depending on how much you are earning in total, due to the way that emergency tax is structured you could end up under-paying tax in the first six weeks and consequently end up owing the Revenue a tax bill you didn't realise was due.

    Ok thanks for the replies.
I hope to stay with the old job only until the end of September when i will remain with the new job from then on only.
I will only be earning about 130-150 per week in each place, possibly less. Both are minimum wage.

This is if I DON'T call and request a split of tax credits?
    Thanks

Yes. It can happen if you don't call. It won't happen to someone with two low income jobs though.
