    Episode Title: 1x1 - Genesis
    tv.com wrote:
In this episode, we are introduced to Peter Petrelli, a young man who dreams of flying, and his brother Nathan, a ruthless politician who thinks that Peter is dreaming his life away. Meanwhile, ordinary people from all around the world are starting to suspect that they have abilities beyond those of normal humans. Artist Isaac Mendez believes that he is painting the future, high school cheerleader Claire Bennet is suddenly able to recover from any wound almost instantly, Japanese businessman Hiro Nakamura tries to convince a friend that he can bend space and time, and single mother Niki Sanders starts seeing strange things in mirrors.

Upon learning of his father's death, genetics Professor Mohinder Suresh begins to look into his research for a clue to why he was killed. When he follows his father's trail to New York City, however, Mohinder learns that someone else is on the trail of the same research. Someone who may kill to protect the secrets of the next step in human evolution

    Episode Title: 1x2 - Don't Look Back
    tv.com wrote:
Los Angeles Police Officer Matt Parkman is working crowd control at a murder scene when he alone begins to hear the muffled cries of a little girl somewhere in the house. Claire's heroism brings her unwanted attention. Peter comes closer to learning the truth about his and Nathan's powers. Hiro finds a comic book which leads him to Isaac.

I bunged them both in the same thread/poll simply because they were aired together.

Just an 'Okay' vote from me this time.

In all honesty it's been a while since I watched these episodes, but I remember being not all that impressed by them. Particularly Genesis I thought was an exercise in American cheese.

I kept watching an assurances from friends that it gets much better. I think it was episode three that had me hooked.

I didn't vote for any because I haven't watched those episodes in ages.

I do remember that I wasn't overly impressed by the first few episodes either. I was hooked after about episode 3 or 4 aswell, I suppose.

I thought 'Genesis' was one of the weakest most tacky pilots of last year (but my favourite pilot of last year, The Black Donnellys, got axed so what do i know)!

But as others said, from episodes 3 and 4 onwards - it become downright essential enthralling TV.

It's repeated tonight at 11:20 so watch it if you missed it the first time around!

I voted Okay. I'd go so far as to say good, but great is pushing it.
I enjoyed it, but it felt alot like it was just setting everything up. Like ok here's this scientist, and all these people with powers, and this impending disaster, and a scary murderer guy, now let's go.

My first time watching Heroes and yeah - I thought it was very average.

I'd been drawn into all the hype of the show so I was expecting a lot, but after those two episodes I was thinking ''is that it - what's all the fuss about?!''

But I'm definitely not giving up on the show - I've heard it gets a whole lot better so I'll definitely be watching next week.

It's Channel6 and Sci-Fi channel that were showing the series. I think they've both finished up at this stage.. so BBC is the only channel currently showing it.
