Playing 10 handed, level 150-300/25, starting stack of 3000, down to 120 from 400 players, so average was around 10K. i have 3900 and im in the Big Blind for 300.(3,6 behind). folded to The small blind LAG (proper use of term) playing 20,000, who completes. I have Qc9c, whats my action? we like a raise, check or shove?

I prob check, you'll have 8 free hands to look at after this and you're likely to find a better hand to shove with.

EDIT: Didn't see the antes, in that case...

I would just check. They're pretty sweet cards to play a pot in position. If you raise you'll have to call a push so I think thats right out.
Personally i'm worried when a LAG just calls but maybe its because he has 45s and not AK.
You'll still have 11bbs to push hands in late position if he takes it from you on the flop

    Check
a shove increases your stack by over 25% though.
    i think i probably shove

Lots of money in the middle, 700 chips in fact, you have 3600 left, you increase your stack by more than a sixth, which is good. I pretty much shove every hand here.

    150+300+(25*10) = 700

Better go edit my post lol

    Check
    300+300+(25x10) = 850

bit early to be drinking :)

I check. I'm suspicious of the LAG just completing and I want to see a flop. We have position after all. A LAG with a big stack who doesn't raise your blind in this situation may well be trapping.

    Check
I would usually shove but if he is very aggro his check looks suspicious

This is the case quite a bit, if he is any good he will be expecting a push from the BB ~50% of the time, so I think he will fold if he has a hand that he isnt prepared to call a push with here and for this reason I will check and see what the flop brings.

only if he is a) a thinking player and b) you have been pushing quite a lot. Presuming A is quite an assumption though even in these.
