so i decided to take a trip to galway last night, for the opening night.
they had a great crowd and its a nice venue. didnt get on too well in the tourney though, seven loose aggressive players at a ten player table and i get jj twice only to run into kk and aa, folded both times but lost a heap of chips. the only thing, it will be a bit cramped if he runs any big tourneys, there were seventy something playing tonight and it was a bit tight for room. overall though i thought it was the nicest casino i have been in and i would personally like to wish fintan and his crew the very best with this new venture.

Either bring this back on topic or it will be locked. First reply and it changes subject entirely? There is a golf forum you know.

dunno if this is true, but someone was telling me last night that he was charging for the seat rather that rake, dunno for sure but there was a nice table encased in a glass or perspex surrounded room which was being used as a cash table, looked very nice and probably blocks out the sounds from the outside.

Cheers for the comments very happy with the opening night, think it went well overall.

On the rake issue we were going to charge per seat per half hour but after talking to players it was decided to charge standard rake , Im not in the casino at the moment and will post rake tomorrow once i have the exact charge (dont look after the poker)
