Transmission is nice and straight forward. Not endlessly configurable like Azureus, but then many may say that's a good thing.

    Transmission is great.
uTorrent is in development for the Mac too. That'll be fantastic when it's complete.

problem with transmission is a few trackers ban it due to it hammering the announce, or sum such!

    Transmission until uTorrent arrives.

Bits on Wheels isn't too bad either.

Another vote for Transmission. The only important feature it lacks is the ability to choose which files you want to download but that's being included in the next version. It's already available in the nightly builds which you can get from here:

Azureus for me, although I've dropped using any client as such and no use torrentflux on a server, its the right job

Transmission for me too.. the only thing that lets it down is the in-ability to download individual files.

Oh, and as mentioned, a couple of the private trackers have put it on their banned clients list recently! :(

Check out the link I posted, basq. The latest nightly builds allow you to do this.

Has anyone tried the built-in torrent client in opera?

    Opera
By the way, junglecliff, the errors are more than likely coming from your network, and not your app.

Transmission is fine. I used xTorrent beta until it expired and found it excellent. I'm on Azureus now, and while I'd love to be using uTorrent, I haven't had any problems with it. At least it's not banned from some networks like Transmission is.

they've fized the issues in transmission that had caused it to be banned from certain trackers.

    +1 transmission.
Great for laptops since it uses MUCH LESS CPU power than Azureus (<15% vs >30%)
