    Hi all,

    Here's the story :

Moving in with a couple of poeple (mainly the girlfriends friends) which is cool nice bunch but i recon i may be the only tech head in the lot and as such if i decide to get Broadband in (Which i will) i need to pay for it myself

So i need a balance between cheap and fast 1 MB min . so reconmendations please

    thanks in advance

If they already have NTL-Cable TV, and no phone line, then NTL bb is the cheapest option.

I, too, have gone the NTL route in order to avoid a phone line. Have eircom at work, which seems to be marginally slower, but that could be because everything seems slow at work (doesn't time just seem to stop at 5:30?)

One of my housemates used to work for Irish Broadband, who seemed to be having constant problems; that may since have been rectified.

NTL bb and cable tv, never had a problem with it, unlike eircom. A LOT cheaper too...
