I'm sorry to ask such a trivial and for want of a better word "girly" question but I thought people here might know best. I'm going to be in Dingle for the races weekend by coincidence (only found out after it was almost impossible to get a B&B)... and I was thinking of going. Just wondering is it a big deal fashion wise? I'd go along for the craic and a few totally uneducated bets but if it was a big fuss I wouldn't bother. Thanks! :o

    i hope you're a girl.

no its Ireland and its Dingle, not exactly Royal Ascot if you know what i mean. so to sum up, wear whatever you like and no-one will care.

    Races in Dingle?

Dingle races are a big deal for the locals and is one of the main festivals on the "flapper" circuit. Been there a couple of times and its a good craic, but its a distant relative to the high glam occasions such as Ascot or Derby Day. My hunch is that there would be more comments made if you over-dressed rather than under-dressed.
