I'm going to Stockholm end of November with a friend. Anyone have any tips etc? I'm not too familiar with the city. What will the weather be like? I know it'll be cold but apparently it can be windy and rainy too :(

So if anyone who has been there or lived there has any helpful info for me or recommendations that would be great. We are flying Ryanair into Vasteras and staying in Fridhemsplan.

Thanks :D

Dont take the cold there as an understatement, its below 0 all of the time, its wonderful. Lots to do around the old town, Museums and Coffee shops and great nightlife south of the River.

I used to live in stockholm. What kind of stuff are you into? If you take the tube to T-Centralen there are some good clubs there, Harry B James if you like rock/metal and Centralen if you like hard dance. There are loads more rock places too, like Pub Anchor and Debaser. There are normally a few famous people in those too. If you don't like metal, I can't help much.

Thanks for that, but I wouldn't really be into rock or metal.
I like indie or maybe a nice jazz club when on hols.

Any nice restaurants/cafes that anyone can recommend, keep the suggestions coming :p

My favourites when in Stockholm are:

Berns (hotel, bars, clubs all in the old opera house).

Erik´s Gondolen at Södermalm great views over the city at night.

http://www2.bluemoonbar.se/upload/"]Blue Moon Bar and club, check the
gallery on the site for an idea of the clientèle ;)

A stroll around Birger Jarlsgatan and Stureplan at night checking out
the various bars is always a good evening.

OP,

Stockholm is a great place, but in November it will be cold and it will get dark early enough in the afternoon, so make sure you're up early enough to get out and see the city!!!
