Send an email to the address below if you are a reader of The Times. News International in their wisdom have decided to give us the International Edition of the paper now which means we have lost the award winning The Game - Soccer supplement on Mondays featuring Tony Cascarino, Their award winning T2 daily supplement, the TV section has been butchered to one little bit of info on RTE, basically meaning the paper is about half the size it was. If you are reading this and want to get the excellent paper back on the market please reply to the below standard letter sent out by The Times.

Thank you for taking the trouble to write. Your e-mail was passed to me as I deal with readers' complaints and queries.
For commercial reasons The Times has taken the decision to publish the international edition of The Times in the Republic of Ireland. This means that readers will notice a few changes to the paper, including times2, which no longer appears as a separate pull-out supplement. However, most of the daily features and interviews from the T2 section will still appear in the main body of the paper.
We take our readers' concerns very seriously, and your views will be passed to our senior editorial team. May I also take this opportunity to thank you for your past loyalty to The Times.
    Best wishes,

Wow... I find this quite surprising... we don't get the full whack any more?

Given that the paper is published in Kells, which also prints The Sun, The Screws and The Sunday Times (amongst others), which all have Irish input (I won't put it stronger than that!) the one paper of the NI stable that doesn't have a genuine Irish input, why can't we have a direct copy of the UK edition?

I'm sure the OP is not the only one miffed by this. ABC sales for The Times in Ireland aren't exactly strong... 4600 daily sales or thereabouts for the last year... versus 97,000+ for the Sunday Times.

Back in the 1980's all you could get was the London or North of England editions of any UK paper, sometimes I wish this was still the way.

It's a shame though, cos I was a fan of the Screen section (which is truncated in today's paper).

Afraid I'm going to have to go from someone who bought in on Mon, Thur, Fri & Sat to a purely online reader.

International edition me hole, I say.
