Been Last six years Monday to Sat prior to that used to do just the Thursday and occasional Friday. Pray for it not to rain either especially if crowds as mad as usual.
Thursday last year was insane, gave up trying to place bets with either bookies or tote as was well over crowded. Watched whole day on a big screen from a seat (for which had to fight to keep my space). If do want to place tote bets advise do so as early as can have lost track number of times been stuck in a line for the tote at the off (now tend to plan ahead and place most at start of day!).
    Great fun though..

    :D

Sounds like you need Betfair mobile, you'll get better odds and won't have to queue for the bookies or tote.

Yeah for sure, i'm from galway originally and always go. Going racing friday saturday sunday i think.

Accomodation will be very scarce at this stage and I'd say you'll be unlikely to get anywhere within 20 miles at this stage - try ringing the tourist office. The water crisis may help the accomodation search this year!!

Expect big crowds, especially thursday, big field, all the time, a few good races and lots of beer :-)

Me own old man has a share in Beautiful Vision also entered in the plate, although i think the trip is a little too short for him, the oul fella and mr. taaffe think its within his grasp!!

Lets be honest, the quality of the racing is far from brilliant.
