Ive recently started going back to the gym after a few strenuous exams (grr) and now i want to loose as much fat as possible before the upcomming holidays.

My diet is reasonably well in check but it is mainly gym advice i need help with.
I do 3/4 weight sessions a week. But what i really need advice on is cardio. Ive heard about HIIT and LIIT but have no idea what they are. Secondly i only really like using rowing machines and bikes (treadmills have never done it for me). Would i be better doing cardio on the same day as my weights or alternating days? I.e. Monday - weights, Tuesday - cardio, Wednesday - weights etc. An what is HIIT and LIIT and which would i be better off doing in order to loose weight in short amounts of time?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Does your gym do Fitness 4x4 classes? Extreme pain but worth it.

If your gym has concept 2 rowers program them to do interval training. Say 200m with a 60 sec rest interval. Tis great. As you get fitter reduce rest time by 5 sec's every week. Go for as many intervals as possible
