    Heroes Season 1 on BBC2 on Wednesdays @ 9pm

Just to let everyone know that they are showing Season 1 of Heroes on BBC2 on Wednesdays starting with a double bill on the 25th of July. It start at 9pm and it is also available on the BBC HD if you have it.

As for the show, I would rate it very highly. I'd rate it above Prison Break and Lost

    Just watch it :D

I ordered the Season 1 DVD's from the states, although the lack of ads on the BBC is great.

I saw the ad for it on BBC2 the other night and I was so happy because I really want to watch, being mildly obsessed with this sort of thing myself, but I missed lots of the fist episodes when it started on other channels. I know I'm going to love it - can't wait!! :D

yeah, i missed one episode and was lost for the next few....i sadly gave up on it

The first few're pretty boring and rubbish imo. It picked up around the 8th episode for me and does steadily improve through the series. It isn't a patch on Lost for me though.

I haven't gotten it at all yet. I'm dying to see it! Not long now...

There can't be that many people who haven't seen it by now can there?

Admittedly, it is a slow starter. The series improves as it goes along. The key is not to give up on it :)

I'm looking forward to it. Big fan of the likes of Lost and Prison Break, and I've heard loads of people rave about how good Heroes is.

I'm gonna ditto what people have said, it's quite the slow starter, i nearly gave up on it, until around half way through or so, then it picked up...

Plus Ali Larter is tasty... mmm...:D

It's a slow burn at the start as there is a hell of a lot of exposition going on.

What has what I do with my life got to do with you wanting to see more Heroes? I have been told today that BBC3 will be showing the following weeks directly after BBC2. Does this make you happy? I sure hope it does.

Still don't know why you want to know if I get out much though? But anyway, I like walks on the beach and going to the cinema. What about you?

You have a serious attitude problem, maybe go for a walk on the beach and have a cup of tea. You might calm down. I'm done talking to you.

Ok there's alot of anger going on. Lets all calm down. We don't want a nuclear explosion (<<look a ref to the show)

So lets all relax and watch the series unfold.

    :)

normally I would agree (with the exception of the Wire of course!) but last season of BSG was well below average. Started off really well and ended with a good episode but everything in between, which was a lot of episodes, was fairly crap IMO.

It's a great show. Really enjoyed it when it was on Sci-Fi. Personally i didn't think it was that slow in the early episodes. I found it intriguing from the start.

The second episode did repeat much of what was already said in the first episode.

So far I have watched just the first 3 eps. I thought they were pretty good but nothing great. A lot of people have commented that it really builds. Is this so and without giving any spoilers what are the strengths of the show? I hope its not one of those shows that presents a load of mysteries but then has no coherent explanation for them?

So far that's the great thing about this show. Each episode is fairly indivdual while also leaving the "to be continued" element intact. The writers all seem to know where they are going with the show and the final episode is a final episode which leads nicely (hopefully) in to Volume 2: Chapter 1.

Most questions are answered, however if you have seen all of the other episodes after the first few these "chapters" are a bit confussing, as they are only talking about Sylar who then appears in the series 6 months previously and then we are brought back to the current time and then brought forward 5 years and then brought back again. Each time we have a change in the timeline hence different outcomes, to what we knew before.

But with all it twists and turns it is well thought out and you will get answers.

Cool answer. Thanks ;) I'll stick with it for a while.

aye, the first ep or two are actually quite bad, then its average for 6 or 7 eps, then amazing tv after that, each ep better than last, up until finale, which is a bit dissapointing
