Please fell free to move if this isnt in the right forum, I saw the thread on Tree Spirits and apologise in advance.

    Anyway.

One night myself and MrsPopebenny16 were walking home along a dark country lane here in Tipp. We both saw white lights moving around the base of a hedgerow. At first we thought it was the local nutter (since deceased) having a laugh with a torch. There was no sign of a human or animal presence though and at that point MrsPopebenny16 got the frights and walked off rather quickly. I stood and started for a bit then, for no reason, felt a real chill in my spine so I legged it as well.

MrsPB16 wont talk about it, but she hinted that it was fairy related.

It was about 5 years or more ago, still wonder about it was hoping ye might have some clues. And, it wasnt any insects.... i drive walk and cycle past that spot day and night never saw it before or since.

Oh dear. Magic being discussed in Paranormal, and unexplained lights being discussed in Paganism.

A swap couldn't be effected, by any chance? Karmically neutral, and all that.

I can shift this to there but not from there to here unfortunatly, but you could pm and ask the mods there to move.

As the op Decided to post here and not there one would assume they choose this forum delibratly.

I know you probably don't want to give out all details of the location as to give yourself or location away! But if you can would you gives us the rough time, location(area) and date that you had the experience? If you want you can PM me the details.

Fireflies? Distant headlights messing with your sense of distance?

How many lights? In what way were they moving? How bright were they? Did they actually generate light, as in, did the leaves/ground around them light up?

That would freak me out anyway!

Could have been Irish Army on Exercise, ive seen pic's of the PDF/ARW on Night Exercises hiding among undergrowth and you wouldnt see them if you were in front of them and all i can say is they do a good job at concealment and they carry small torches to read maps etc, sometimes white for signalling. Then again could have been anything.

Ok, wasnt aware this thread had been copied here.

Right. Wasnt the army, unless they are about an inch or more high, this was within and just outside of a hedgerow on a fairly busy road.

They did generate light, there was a small amount of light on the faoilage.

    How many? three or four.

Location was North Tipperary, it was past midnight.

Light was white and they were moving ramdomly. If it was fireflies we would have seen it before or since.

On the way home today I'll take a pic of the actual hedge and post it tomorrow.

Where there any cars in the area??

Did the lights stay in the one location or move along the hedge (what sort of speed)?

    Also curious about the weather.

No cars. To put this in perspective, it was the road we were walking on and this was going on about two/three feet beside us.

the lights stayed in the one small, location.

weather was calm, clear, but dark night in the summer
