Referring to the 5/10 rule where you should call anything for <=5% of the relevant stack and fold anything higher than 10% and use your judgement im between can someone clarify.

50 NL i raise to my standard $1.75 with no raisers before me, someone 3bets to $6 (+10% of my stack) its $4.25 to call which is less than 10%, is it the total bet that i use to calculate i.e $6 or the amount i have to call that i should use?

the remaining 4.25 you gotta call. so 4.25/48.25 = .088 X 100 =8.8% of your stack. plus pot is prob no 1.75+6+0.75(blinds) = $8.5 so your pot odds are 8.5/4.75= 1.79-1.

i also read somewhere from some of the pros that they would be comfortable calling off 1/8th of their stack in a cash game(even to a acting after a raise and reraise) if they had a PP as they flop a set 1 in 8 times and also calling wth AK too depeending o the villain(s). especially if they were in position and were against opponents who were likely to 3-bet light or something to that effect.

(the above is not the actual statement but its fairly close )

I don't know where it comes into my game but if its a PP 22 - (JJ or QQ) il call in position all day or out for 1/10 of my stack. I imagine the implied odds are in your favour. I think as well villains stats/image comes into play and if its short handed or full ring.I usually dont find a fold here TBH, maybe its a leak for me but ive never really thought much till now.

Implied odds are not even close to being in your favour if PF reraiser includes AQ/AK in their range. Even if they just have QQ-AA, you need more than 10/1 implied.

you need 15/1 implied to call just for set value.
