how determine ram type in notebook

    Need to add more ram to a laptop but 1st i need to work out what type of ram is surrently installed. Is there a software identifier i could use?

    Check your manual or the Manufacturers website!
    Sounds cheeks but usually is the easiest IMO

    ah no not cheey at all just stupid of me to neglect to say id already exhausted that option, its a medion laptop so manual and web site are both rubbish

    Well , you can use the " Crucial " Memory finder to narrow it down to type anyway ,
    Theres one on Komplett , if you are lucky , the laptop only takes one type and you'll be sorted.

    Heres your starting page ,

    Ive checked and most models of Medion are included.

    download cpuz it will tell you the spec of the Ram you have

    tried belcarc myself tells you the slots avalable and how much is there,
    cpuz did the job alright thanks guys
