    100 effective.

5 handed, he makes it 4 utg, I call otb with A9s

    Hu

Flop is kigh high with two rags of my suit. no other draws.

    he c/c 8

Turn pairs one of the rags.

    he c/c 14.

    River is an A.

he open shoves, i've 70 something left, can i even think about calling this? his line makes absolutely no sense.

he was playing 30/22, I only had about 30 hands on him so no reads. his total af at the time of the hand was 8, but dropped to 2 after about 150.

Nah I fold there, I cannot think of a hand you are beating. Busted flush draw obv but I can't remember anyone ever playing a flush draw like this. If the villain was in position and checked to, it's completely different. Overbet almost always means a very big hand in my experience (of donks, good players are different)

    I fold.
this ain't a bluff often enough to call.
And I check this turn alot against lags
He'll have paired a rag on the flop and rivered two pair...

In my experience this is often a weird bluff with one pair, and also often KK and QQ playing really bizarrely.

you have bet the king the whole way and so he might think that you would have re-raised with AK preflop esp shorthanded, and so the Ace must be a scare card. he could also have missed a flush draw/have AK!/
