Want printer for my laptop

Hi I'm no expert but have a sony VAIO laptop and was thinking of buying a printer for it. Not looking for anything too flashy or expensive but was just looking for advice on the way to go. Any advice/links would be much appreciated. Thanks. PS should I get a printer/scanner combo type thing?

One piece of advice is to check the driver. There are currently issues with Vista and Combo Printer Drivers
