Dugg! How cheesy wins every time.

I just noticed a mad rush of comments on one of my photos on Flickr about half an hour ago. At that stage the photo had around 1200 views and was favourited 30 times (apparently someone had it on their blog so it had a healthy burst of activity). In less than 45 minutes the favourites has shot up to 162 and over 42,000 views and rising rapidly. It appears thet someone has put it upon Digg. It must be the cheesiest photo I have ever taken. The power of T'internet eh? It's gone over 44,000 while typing this!!!

It should be over 100,000 by the morning. Pure mad!! I don't think it will have any effect on "Interestingness". That's just for recent stuff. It should bring it to #1 for the day it was posted though, which would be nice I suppose.

Maybe Hallmark will give me a call and offer me a few million. Out of principle I'd have to refuse of course.

Getting Digg'd often brings a server to it's knees. I know a few people that have had their hosting temporarily shut down because the load on the server was through the roof. Take it as a lesson I suppose, take more cheesy hallmark photos

Nothing more than the usual. The number of visits to my photos has gone up by about 1000 in 15 hours to 25,000+ and a few have added me as a contact but just the usual flow apart from that.
