The power of crystals

I've gone throught alot in the last year. A really close friend suggested that I consider looking into cyrstals and I got some and some books explaining what they're all about.

I was very drawn to haematite and rose quartz.

Thing is my life has changed completely - and I put alot of it down to the power of crystals.

Does anyone use crystals in their lives?

Interesting what you say about being drawn to rose quartz, I quite often get drawn to that.
I do make limited use of crystals, not in every situation but recently I've used them to prevent psychic attacks and I have to say it's worked really really well.

I'd be interested to hear what other uses you've had or what other results you've had.

Hi Rebel72, glad you found something that helps you. I don't really 'use' crystals, but I do like to carry some around. I have a citrine crystal on a pendant that I find gives me a bit of energy and zest (pun intended, sorry) when I'm feeling drained. I also have a tigers eye crystal I carry, they help focus and communication, and I find that works really too (and it's something I desperatly needed aswell )

Hi Ladybird, I have a crystal which I have found very useful in preventing tiger attacks*. I haven't been attacked by one since I started carrying it. I also have access to a limited supply of them and would be happy to sell them for the princely sum of 100 Euro each. Please form an orderly line...

I have quite a few crystals and also a crystal bracelet.
Have crystals hanging in most of the windows too, they are meant to attract wealth. I'll let you all know when I win the lotto.:D

I am a deep believer in the power of crystals, my chips just don't taste the same without them, nor does most other food for that matter.

Seems like you are using crystals, you are choosing to have them on or about your person and elect to be influenced by them.

Yeah, I suppose you're right. I do use them, maybe in more of a passive than an active way.

Some tips I've picked up along the way about using crystals are

-You should always buy your own crystals, this way you can choose the ones that feel right to you, take your time choosing them and if possible try holding them. Some will just appeal to you, while many won't. (this is a general guideline more than a definite rule, someone very close to me has bought me crystals before and they've worked out very well)

-You can cleanse a new crystal to remove any unwanted energies attached to it. One way of doing this is to just bury it out your back garden over night (or longer). This 'earths' the crystal allowing natural energies to cleanse it.

-You can 'charge' a crystal buy leaving it somewhere that sunlight can fall it, maybe hanging it in a window.

-You should try to keep to the same crystal(s), not chop and change them often. This allows them to absorb some of your energy and adjust to you, and you to it.


Anybody have any more tips, and/or aggree/disagree with mine ?

I would not bury them but 'cleanse' them in salt and water, rubbing them with salt and then usually leaving them in the sink with the water running directly over them or in salt water depending on who much it needs to be cleansed.

They can also be left out under the full moon to be 'charged'.

There are a lot crap books there about this topic I would suggest that if anyone is looking for information that they avoid the more faddy books.

Also be aware where the crystals are buying are from, some are strip mined from the earth others use child labour in mines.

Never heard that about the sources of the crystals but it makes sense. Recently I've seen quite a few at seemingly low prices - I now know why

rystals can be cleanesed in many different ways.
Did you also know that your own breath is a fast and effective way of clearing a crystal, just draw in a long breath with the intentions of clearing the crystal of negative or unwanted energy as you blow the breath back out onto it,remember to state what your clearing it of,not just clearing it as you will clear it completly of its positive energy too.
Kyanite is one crystal that never needs clearing and if placed in a bowl with others it has the power to cleanse them too.
I have also found that when you buy one,you dont have to ridgidly stick by what it says the crystal is used for,these are only guidlines,if you hold the crystal in your hand,get to know it,state what you want to use it for and do a quick meditation holding the crystal while meditating on its use,this is also great and works really well.
The only time i would bury one is when it has broken,this,in my opinion means it has seerved its purpose and no longer needed.
Also,be aware of what it is made of before you wash it in water, for example, Celenite, dissolves if it gets wet ,LOL, believe me, I bought a really large one and stuck it in the sink to wash it,walked away and when i came back it was GONE,well, i tell ya, i was gobsmacked,started thinking spirit had came and took it.....it was a few weeks later i became aware of what happened,LOL

I usually run them under the cold tap. Works for me. I have a lot of them in my living room along the top of a mirror frame, and there's a very relaxing athmosphere in the room. Most visitors to my house comment on it.
Has anyone ever used Moldovite? I was meditating with a piece of it in my hand one time and I saw somthing weird with my third eye. A sort of Dragon like creature totally black in colour, it was only when I saw it a second time that I realised I had seen it before while meditating with the Moldovite.

Just read an interesting article on Vogel crystals being used for healing purposes and general well being. I have heard of a method called 'water divining' with crystals to clear negative energie's. But never actually taught of using them myself. The results of using them correctly seem very rewarding.
