So? It's all "news" on different levels.
Actually, Latifah interests me more than Bush' latest propaganda stunts.

A new burger joint!?! *drops everything to read about this intriguing article*

That's news for ya. I always read me news www.bbc.co.uk that's got the best stuff on it.

also the recent media surrounding Jade whatsherface's young fella going into school and her giving exclusive rights to some publication to cover the event..

That made me want to punch her in the face, quite hard... Again.

In a similar vein, sky news last night had "breaking news" that David Beckham had taken part in a training session with his new team mates. Their breaking news ticker has lost all meaning.

Absolutely. Such a trashbag of a news channel.

Am I the only one that prefers to live in blissful ignorance and enjoys reading about such frivolous things as Queens latifah's bruger joint as opposed to "such and such got murdered, war going on in x, housing prices are crashing, x polititian is accepting bribes".
It's always the same sh1t...just a different day!

I disagree with this statment as it implies that it once had meaning ! ;)

The whole ""Beckhams leave for LA" saga on Sky news finished it for me. Havent watched it since. It was completely grotesque.

I gave up watching the likes of Sky News a long time ago, anyone remember "Louis Woodward:The Homecoming". :(

It'll tank when she eats the profits.

Now "Queen Latifa takes a Spin Class."

    Thats a ****ing headline.

    ...and why?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,243 ✭✭✭✭Jesus Wept

I don't understand whatsoever why you are so upset?

Did they have the Queen Latifa story as their main headline, taking up half the page, and the other stories burried in supfolders?

If not, what is the problem?

Most people I'd imagine have some form of digital tv, be it NTL or Sky. When that's the case I can't understand why people would watch Sky News when there is BBC News 24. I'm not a fanboy at all, but it is such a superior channel compared to Sky.
