I'm going of course, it's only up the road from my house. It's organised by the West Cork Vintage Club, which is quite an active club down here.

Might see you down there 2cv,
I'll be down that part of the country next weekend (Gouganbarra) at a wedding so i might venture that way.
What'll be your motor of choice?

I'm not sure tbh.. I'll probably take the 2CV, but if the weather is nice i might even take the Mercedes :-) Might take both of them actually :-)

I'm going. Taking 2CV van or 64 Volvo. Nice oldfashioned show. Not to big. Lots of tractors if you like that sort of thing.:)

It's at the showgrounds, on the park road. If you're coming from Bandon, follow the signs for Skibbereen and it's on your left. If you've coming from Skibbereen, follow the signs for Bandon and it's on your right!
    :D:D:D

Well i wanted to bring the capri down but i don't think it'll be ready for the long run yet. So it'll prob have to be the Megane.
    Not the same really:(

I'll let you sit in my 2Cv if that'll make you feel better :D:D:D

It'd be better than sitting in the megane.
Hopefully the weather will be good.

    Any pics of the 2cv?

Not sure about the tea now... :)

If i can get the Merc sorted out during the week, i'll bring it. It has developed a slight blow in the exhaust. I ordered a brand new exhaust system for it, but being a 1977 car, it's on special order and takes a couple of weeks. If i can get it welded up temporarily, i'll bring it :-)

    :) lol

    any pics of the merc?
    The more cars the better.
I know what your saying with ordering the exhaust.
It took 6 weeks for my rear silencer

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,475 ✭✭✭2cv

There are two classic car shows at the Clonakilty showgrounds. The one this Sunday is organised by the West Cork Vintage Club and the on on the 5th of August is organised by the Skibbereeen and District Car Club.

I know, but i was there in 2009 (and i wont create a new topic because of few posts)... missed the 2010 and just curious whats the story with the event this year. On Ivvcc there is some Cork veteran run 24th of July.. that could be it, but not sure about it...
