Just wondering if anyone would have any qualms about a rider starting off on this. As in position etc for a novice. Also is there any horror stories about the bike?

I was thinking of a Honda CG125 but this looks nice

If you can afford it, go for the Yamaha Dragstar 125 or 250 instead. Theres nothing wrong with the Virago, a friend of mine had one with no trouble at all. Its just that the Dragstars are nicer bikes
I had the Dragstar 125, nothing ever went wrong with it, it was comfortable and had enough power as far as a 125 goes!
