Ebay paying time

Just wondering how long is standard for sellers to allow people to pay on e-bay? I had a dress up for auction with a buy it now price of €100.
The auction ended early as someone bought it at the Buy it Now price. However they still haven't paid for it. It was only 3 days ago but just wondered what was standard.
How long is an acceptable amount of time before you contact them?

    Thanks!

Did you state a payment time in the auction? Most sellers put something like 2-3 days so that would be reasonable. I'd be contacting the buyer now if it's been 3 days and you've heard nothing from them.

No i didn't put anything in about payment time, just that i can only accept paypal. I never sold anything before so didn't think to. He doesn't have great feedback. I might pop him a mail and say the item is ready to be shipped and see if that propmts a response.

If the buyer has not paid within 7 days you can open an unpaid item dispute. eBay will then send a message to the buyer. See below:

Did you actually send the buyer an invoice yet? I send the invoice about an hour after end of auction. If I do not hear from them after (max) 3 days I send a "friendly" email and that usually does the trick.

id say send a payment reminder...

if that doesnt work ring them... you can swap contact information by goin to the advanced search- request member contact info- enter the item number and user name..

and it that doesnt work and you hit the 7th/8th day and they still havent paid then open a dispute :D
