What kind of noise is it making? chances are if you dropped the drive you have badly damaged it..or if your lucky you have just broken the enclosure and the drive is okay.
    Is it clicking?

A clicking sound coming form a hard drive is usually a very bad thing. You might still be able to get at the data on it though (as the connection may be broken as well). You could try buying a hard drive enclosure and place the hard drive in this to get the data and make a back up.
