Green Joke Poker Cynthiana 0.25/0.50, hand converted by the iPoker Converter at Talking-Poker

    Button Hero ($51.60)
    SB ($42.70)
    BB ($56.95)
    UTG ($68.43)
    UTG+1 ($78.10)
    CO ($30.40)

Preflop: Hero is on the Button with Kclub.gif Kdiamond.gif
1 fold, UTG+1 calls 0.50, CO calls 0.50, Hero raises to 2.75, SB calls 2.50, 2 folds, CO calls 2.25.

    Flop (9.25) Tspade.gif 9heart.gif Tdiamond.gif
SB checks, CO checks, Hero bets 5.50, 1 fold, CO raises to 11

Only 10 hands on villain playing about 55/22, i really hated that flop and was torn between wheter to bet for value or wheter to check/call down because only a T was probably calling. To be honest i didnt know the best way to play this hand. Whats my best line and what now? Im not happy with my flop bet either, its a bit of a weak c/bet and may induce a 3bet on that flop from a wide range, im thinking $7.50 would be better which at least makes it hard for them to make a min raise and get away from it so i could get a better idea if its a bluff or strength?

It's another $5.50 to you and the pot is currently $20.25. You have position on the raiser. His raise may mean he has a 10 or it may be asking whether you really have a hand. This is an easy call for me at 4/1 and re-evaluate on the turn

Also, if he has a 10 you still have outs in the way any K or runner runner.

RR seriously doubt the check raise. take the pot down.
has he check raised before. surely if he had a ten it would be just a call.
he could be betting the draw or cosider his nines to be good

I can't lay these down to a min raise (as Olly would say I'm a station.) I call and revaluate the turn.

DVDfan Thought you only played STTs?

Your weak cbet and the villains maniac stats make this a call.

Call all his bluffs to the river as well.

I bet 6.5 on the flop, call & reevaluate turn.

After i call the CO 3bet he has only $16 left behind on the turn and the pot will be $30, if he bets it will have to be all in so i dont think i get any extra information flat calling because hes likely to push any PP any draw and any 9x or Tx on the turn so i dont get much information from hes bet, i felt after hes CO raise he could have a wide range of hands, i expect giving the size of the pot that a T would be played a little slower as theres plenty of time to get all his money in and he wouldnt want to scare me off as i raised from the button so i could have any 2. So he could have any PP and put me AK type of hand, He could have A9 he also could have 87 or QJ for the draw so i figured giving the stack sizes this was a difficult hand to get any real information about hes hand so i pushed to protect against draws.

In heinsight i think calling and letting him push was slightly better although i feel after he RR with the pot being $30 and him having $16 behind he was calling and/or pushing all in with a wide range and only dropping an unpaired hand, its the reason i hate playing shorties as its very hard to use chips to get an idea of their strength but i would at least possibly get a push on the turn from an unpaired hand whereas they would fold to my push on the flop.

No made the switch a couple of months ago to cash because there seems to be alot more money in cash, i found quickly when i made the move that i wasnt a good sng player at all i just taught i was, then i found out quicker i was a worse cash player:p

Sample size of the hands played against this guy is far too small to call him a maniac.

I dont think you can fold anywhere here. Call here and hope he pushed the turn. That way you may be up against air sometimes, i doubt you ever will be though.

He's certainly not tight passive. After 10 hands you can begin to adjust your perception of villain from unknown to loose aggressive here.
