Hi im setting u an adult business and so im interested to hear people opinions, and advice.i need to talk to a solicitor about it but have not been able to findone willing to discuss this sort of business,.
In my opinion if somebody male or female choose to get into the adult industry then its not exploitation and there should not be such an issue about it.I was watching something on the telly a little while ago about sex education in holland. There were kids as young as 8 and ten and were getting very extensive sex education .they also mentioned how holland have one o f the lowest for young pregnancies in europe, now that the catholic church has lost most of their grasp of power they had over people here we should now accept that although a most of irish people just want to get married and have a family perhaps some are just happy to have a thriving sex life with various people.and if they can make money from doing something they enjoy is moral or should it be legal that they should be stopped because its not the way another person lives his / her life?

It's pretty much illegal as far as I know. There are certain things about prostitution not being illegal if you're doing it in private (i.e. in a home), however running a brothel is specifically illegal.

You probably won't find solicitors wholl deal with it because if they tell you "just do X and you'll be fine", then they may find themselves in hot water when that advice is wrong. They may also not want repeat business - if they get a reputation as someone who'll look after this kind of industry, they could be ruined (both personally and financially).

Morally, well that's a personal call. I have no moral obligation to brothels per se, but I would only accept a brothel owner as being morally sound, provided that they looked after their workers in a way that was conducive to their line of work. So for example, free healthcare and lifetime insurance in the event of permanent illness arising from the work. Since the people involved generally do it for the short-term, then paid education courses and a healthy pension would also be a must.
That's just for example, and it's just my feelings on it.

i would not have a problem offering such things if it was legal to do so,but i doubt i can if its not evena legal profession.and how is it legal in a house?u mean if nothing sexual is involved i mean if use a house money and sex exchange is it not considerd a brothel?
And i dont undertand the issue solicitors have i mean if i want to try it one way and they say its illegal ,then fair enough but thats what i nee dto know and if im not mistaken is it not their job to inform whats legal and whats not.i mean if i was told the way i plan on doing things is legal and then i get in trouble with the law then regardless of th morality of the business that solicitor failed to do his / her job right so i think he should be somewhat accountable.all i want is a reliable solicitor whos not afraid to guide me on whats legal and whats not.
    Thanks

Much of the escorting business here is controlled by some shady characters with links to organsised crime, so you might not even find it all that easy to muscle in on the market. It is illegal but I wouldn't worry too much about that. Convictions would be rare enough. I'd say tread carefully though.

Let's be clear for a moment - escort services are not illegal. It's when escort services cross the line from companionship services to demonstratable sexual supply that the grey areas arise. Paying for someone's time is perfectly legal in this country. It's when the service is explicitly marketing as something over and above this you start attract the wrong sort of attention.
