As title suggest, off to buy runners at lunch. I generally run on concrete tho (which is the most handiest and crapiest surface to run on I think). Whats the best runners to minimise impact tho, I generally use asics but I dont think they are cutting the mustard, was thinking about nike air. Are they good or just a bit gimmiky

asics are far better imo. you should pick the runners to suit you rather than the surface though. having said that one of either the nimbus or kayano suit most people and are both will cushioned.

I find Nike awful personally, but some people swear by them. (My parents rave about Air Pegasus). All depends on you really.

Call into a good running store (Sportsworld in Terenure, Amphibian King in Bray and John Buckley Sports in Cork would be three that I know of). They should be able to recommend a pair of shoes to suit you.

Got a pair of Kayanos in Arnotts reduced to €40 on Saturday. Quite pleased with myself. Just breaking them in at the moment.

you must have either very small or very big feet if they still had your size at this stage of the sale!?

ended up buying Nike Air triax X. Got to say, I really like them so far, can barley feel the ground when I run, before my ankles and knees would be sore after a run.

    €115 tho :(
