Anyone else having very slow issues at the moment, signal degradation and brutal speeds at the moment.
    Tracing route to www.speedtest.ie [82.195.144.19]

over a maximum of 30 hops:

    1 270 ms 64 ms 65 ms 83.147.171.1

    2 158 ms 148 ms 104 ms gi-0-3-44.dub-deg-br1.net.digiweb.ie [83.147.163.34]

    3 88 ms 97 ms 106 ms border2.hosting365.ie [193.242.111.23]

    4 74 ms 120 ms 160 ms 82.195.134.81

    5 53 ms 59 ms 51 ms 82.195.144.19

    Trace complete.

That first hop is a gateway. Means that its dying before it even leaves the network.

I am on Metro Plus as well, supposed to be 5mbit.

Routers are de-prioritise ping responses to avoid the Ping-Of-Death DOS attack.

You can only really ping real servers. Ping ftp.heanet.ie in Dublin.

Nowadays a tracert more tells you the route than the goodness of the route.

Try a download from heanet to get an idea of real speed.

Did loads of tests via the work servers. Its definitely a screwed connection at the moment.
VPN is flaky and will rarely connect. Streaming video will buffer for up to 10 minutes before playing for 15 seconds, then buffering again. Even boards which has a regular ping of 35 is responding at 180.

Downstream signal is dropping, was -1 usually, was -6 two days ago, it was -8 last night.

    SNR has dropped to 25

You might have moved to the wrong sector. Call support and ask them to check this. If you can be moved back - they will - then you will be 'locked down'.
