Watching Day 4 before watching Day 3?

I'm a recent 24 fan and I've been catching up on what I've missed from the early series. I've just finished watching Days 1 and 2 on DVD (both fantastic!) and I'm planning on buying the Day 3 box set ASAP.

Now I just noticed on Sky's listings that Sky One are repeating Day 4 starting on Friday. I've heard that Day 4 was not that good so if that's true I wouldn't be bothered buying the Day 4 box set down the line leading me to want to watch the Sky repeat of Day 4 while I have the chance.

So I'm wondering (without spoiling me of course!) is there a massive crossover between Days 3 and 4? Is it essential for me to watch Day 3 before I watch Day 4? Is there enough in the early epsiodes of Day 4 to dramatically spoil anything important in Day 3?

    Cheers!

Tbh, I wouldn't suggest you'd watch s4 at all, apart from maybe the last 30 mins. And watching it in bulk through the dvds is better. So, I'd suggest you'd wait for s3.

I think you probably could, because there isn't as much crossover between storylines as there are in other seasons. For example, there's no way you could watch Season 5 before Season 4.

But I think you should just buy Season 4 on dvd, not the greatest season but it does get better gradually. Worth buying imo. Plus, watching 24 on dvd is a hundred times better than watching it weekly.

You can watch Day 4 without having seen Day 3. Day 4 is worth a watch, there are a few cracking individual episodes in it.

Most people were unhappy with it for the way the overall terrorist plot unfolded. It was a bit sillier than normal. Plus, in Day 4, 24's famous plot holes were larger than normal.

Anyway it's still a few months till Day 7 begins so you'll have plenty of time to watch all of Jack Bauer's horrendous working days.

Yeah, I think i'll give the first episode of Day 4 a watch today. Sure I've been spoiled to bits watching 24 already by some people identifying certain moles from Day 1 before I finished watching it so there should be nothing that i'm not used to :)
