    hello,

I'm a french sheep (in fact I just love sheep but I'm a human) and I'm in ireland until end of august. I love to take photo and I try to find some nice place.
I already went to wicklow, hotwh, Dundalk, trim and fore, (and last year all around Ireland) but I'm looking to find some new place which are not on tourist book.
If you have any idea just reply to this message (sorry for my poor english !).
    My pictures in Ireland :

(not only ireland but 60% for Ireland).
    Thanks !
    Sylvain

Welcome. I post to TE too - http://www.trekearth.com/members/paulw/photos/

    You have some nice photos.

So ... other places to go - even around Dublin - the Phoenix Park, Dublin Zoo, Dun Laoghaire, Dalkey, Bray.

    Clogherhead County Louth:

I liked it. I actually really liked the old (non motorway) road from Balbriggan up to Drogheda as well. Road over towards Sligo has some nice lakes as well, around Lough Ennell.

Hey theres a great little park in the city centre. Its the Iveagh gardens, their not well known, you find them behind the national concert hall. You go around the right of the building and theres a little gate way, go through and follow the over grown path and suddenly it opens up to these great spaces, it has wonderful fountains and is really good esp if the weather picks up

Go to the west coast. Cork, Kerry, all the way along. Donegal is my favourite (I lived there!)
    Lots of sheep!!!;)

I love Donegal !!! Slieve league is so impressive. I didn't go to the top of the cliff (only a small parking near the cliff) but it's wonderfull !
Errigal mountain and around the mountain is wonderfull too. no house, nothing in fact. It's strange but so beautiful.
You are really lucky to live in this county !!!

anywhere in west Cork. Probably best to rent a car for a few days, drive around a few of the smaller towns, explore a few of the restaurants and go around the mountains a bit. Bantry, Schull, Glengarriff, Glandore, Baltimore (and if you can go across to Sherkin Island) and way too many more to mention. Enjoy your travels

Connemara coast especially the Delphi valley, Leenane ... around Louisburgh and along the coast towards Clare Island ... in fact to go Clare Island ... it is stunning also ... Delphi valley is great for sheep :o ... they just roam free across the roads ... the valley itself is right out of Lord of the Rings ... you half expect a hoarde of marauding Orcs to come at you out of the mist sometimes ...

Ferry for Clare island goes from Roonagh ... near Louisburgh http://www.clareislandferry.com/

... and while we are on the subject of Clare if you hurry (and I do mean hurry because it ends on the 15th July) you will make the Willie Clancy festival in Miltown Malbay (http://www.setdancingnews.net/wcss/wcsst.htm)

... and while you are in Clare you should not miss the cliffs of Moher and the Burren ... the Burren is perhaps one of the most unique landscapes in Ireland ... stay in Ballyvaughan or Doolin ... you can catch a ferry to the Arran Islands from Doolin ...

The islands off West Cork & Kerry, such as Valentia, Sherkin, Cape Clear & Skellig Michael are well worth visiting.
As I've said before though, Garinish Island, off Glengarriff, in West Cork, is something very special!

If you want a unique Irish cultural experience in a beautiful setting get your self to the county Clare this week ...

Sligo and Leitrim have loads of lovely places and not many tourists. Lough Gill, Glencar valley and Waterfall, Gleniff Horseshoe and Mullaghmore to name a few scenic places. It's all very compact. Most locations are only a few miles apart.
Worth spending some time in if going to Donegal.

This is the best beach in Ireland.
If you are near Tralee for the festival then go and take some photos there.

Nope, the best beach is in Inischrone, Co. Sligo. I love that place, the sunsets are soooo amazing there.

It's longer, I'll give you that.
Have to go there to judge the rest.
Any pictures of Inishcrone sunsets ? I see none on your Flickr collection.
