    quickie here,
a mate getting married soon, mid 20s
they have a list set up on an online site but all the good stuff is gone.

should i buy off list OR just give them cash OR just buy some of the crap stuff left?

btw those wedding lists are a total rip off like...

i reckon i'll just give them cash.€150 should be loads shouldnt it?

especially since i only got invited by accident/mistake, and didnt get invited to the party when the engagement was announced. ridiculously cold stuff. only interested in the pressie's

Cash! It's the handiest thing to get, and they can buy something they really want with it then. I'm going to a wedding myself this weekend and thats exactly what I'll be giving them.

There's a gift and pressie forum somewhere but I think you're just looking for someone to say......

"DON'T BUY THE MISERABLE FCUKERS ANYTHING!"

    Am I right??;)

Cash is fine, they most likely will prefer that anyway. €150 is more than enough in my opinion.

yep, go with cash. As you know their gonna be broke as a joke after spending all that money on one day.

I had the same issue with a wedding gift, they had an online wedding list but most of the stuff was gone.

In the end I got a gift certificate for the store and gave it to them instead. That way they could use it to buy whatever they wanted that was still left on the list.

cash, or if the cheapest thing on the list is less than you were gonna give them, get that instead

get them those all for one vouchers from the post office, that's what i do, and i think €150 is a bit extreme to be honest

€150 is a bit much, I'd say more like €80-100, especially considering
i only got invited by accident/mistake, and didnt get invited to the party when the engagement was announced.
If you were invited by accident then don't go, and get them nothing.

    Or, better yet

E150 gift from a couple, E200 from a couple if you're good friends.
E100 is plenty from one guest.

If that's the case, why don't you just not go and not get a present? Doesn't really sound like you want to go...
