It must take a complete moron to actually fall for a scam. They really need to try harder. This is the second or third time I've recieved this exact email, in response to items I have advertised on buyandsell.ie..

    I replied:
    Hi.

Yes I would very much like to post my equipment to you, especially considering you are a little bit impress.

If you like, I will also send some complimentary ipods from my companys warehouse. Actually, I am also selling my house. If you like, I will send you the money I make from that, and you can spend it on setting up a bogus finance company.

    Deal?

How is he planning to scam you? Looks dodgy for sure but just curious about what he's going to do next?

I guess they try to get stuff shipped for free, to some bogus address. I dunno.

Even though they are so obvious and stupid its funny, part of me still gets angry, I despise their low-life scumbag endevours.

    Stolen.
    or a certified cheque
    Stolen.
    or money order
    Stolen.
Please get back to me asap because the item is needed urgently.
Despite needing it urgently, they say "item", now what the item is - because they don't actually knwo what it is.

Ooooh, look, lots of mobile phone numbers, in an allocation block that screams 'scam'.

    http://www.google.ie/search?hl=en&q=phone+44+7031&meta=

EDIT: the 7031 block is allocated to the following companies who, I suspect are mobile resellers.

    Sala Limited
    Easynet Group Plc
    Callagenix Ltd
    Talk Telecom Limited
    Interweb Design Ltd
    SAC Telecom Limited
    Magrathea Telecommunications Limited
