    anyone here a member of one?

    if so,is it worthwhile joining one?

    im a total beginner but would like to start surfing

    I think surfing is best done with 1-3 friends, that way you don't get in eachothers way. I presume a surf club will have loads of members....

    Having said that, check http://www.eastcoastsurfclub.com, i'm sure its worth a look if you are interested.
