Got this on my Gmail account

"Dear valued PayPal member,

It has come to our attention that your PayPal account information needs to be updated as part of our continuing commitment to protect your account and to reduce the instance of fraud on our website. If you could please take 5-10 minutes out of your online experience and update your personal records you will not run into any future problems with the online service.

However, failure to update your records will result in account suspension. Please update your records on or before July 10, 2007.

Once you have updated your account records, your PayPal session will not be interrupted and will continue as normal.

I get them the whole time. Worst thing is it comes through to a account thats not linked to my paypal account.

so the paypal account that opens when u click on the link is a phishing site??

if it is, it looks identical to the real one

I've never had a Paypal email, but I've received a very nice email from a lady in the Republic Of Benin, who unfortunately has had her now dead husbands fortune of $ 30 Million tied up in legal wrangles and she needs the help of a caring soul in Europe to help her release the funding.

If I help her she's going to give me $ 2.5M !!!

Yeah right !, at the moment I have her / him strung along that I've sent a bankers draft for € 3000 to help her out with some bribes to officials.

I've made up an image of a fake draft from the "Bank Of Pog Ma Hoin", based in Ballygofya, Co. Dublin and sent an email to her / him saying it was sent days ago.

They are even asking me to go to Benin, to help with the last stages of the deal. I'm going to fake a plane ticket and send it to them, asking them to collect me from the airport

Pissing myself laughing at wasting their time, there are some great stories on the web of people getting the 419's ( thats what their fraud is called ) to pose with pictures of themselves.

One guy in the UK got them to make some wodden carvings, and send them to Trotter Enterprises, Nelson Mandela Tower....

Any good ideas on how I can waste their time ?

Yeah some great scams on the 419 page. Tiscalli used to do it to, but got shut down because of legal reasons.

Get them to send you stuff. obviously you need to set up a p.o box for this
