Make an OS X partition, install OS X and use QuickTime>File>New Movie Recording.

Can you record with regular QT? I've always used Pro so I don't know. Dunno why but I just presumed that was a pro thing hehe, obviously not!

If you have OS X on your machine you can use iMovieHD to record from iSight. Create a new project, format it for iSight when given the option, then click on the little camera button near the bottom and select "built-in iSight" as the recording source. The image will appear and click record when you want to start.

Using XP... I don't know. AFAIK the iSight driver for XP is fully functional so it's a matter of finding a Windows programme that can record video from a webcam. I could be wrong though.
