Buying from duty free?

I'm thinking of getting a camera for my girlfriend's birthday. I don't know a huge amount about cameras, don't even own one myself.

Cash flow ain't the greatest at the moment so I was looking at spending €150 max. I'm off to Turkey next week so I was thinking the duty free might be a good place to get one.

Any suggestions on what to look for or makes to avoid? Would the duty free be my best bet?

either duty free or online. Exercise some common sense while buying (that goes for either duty free or online). If it looks to good/too cheap to be true, it may well be. I'd go with one of the more well known makes, stay away from any of the less known stuff with the low price tags.

You should get something pretty decent for around 150, just shop around (and enjoy the holiday)
