    Just wondering would it be safe to use mr. sheen to polish up my guitar?

    Technically, there's no reason why you shouldn't - the Gordon Smith website suggests it as a quick fix.

    Personally, I polish guitars as little as possible. Too much polishing with even the finest of cloth (micro-fibre etc) will result in tonnes of hairline swirl marks all over the guitar, and you'll need a chemical abrasive to smooth the finish out again.

    Clean/polish your guitar when it gets dirty by all means, but don't go mad doing it every time you spot a few fingerprints.
