Now i know the general rules, played a few times and got lucky. So while i am running bad in NL thought i'd switch and have done well.

Just wondering if there are any good books or even posts detailing the finer points of it?

    Whos best to ask here?

Oh and i want Pot limit, none of that hi-low crap

This is like someone asking how to play hold'em. You learn by playing, reading, reviewing, and playing some more. There isn't a magic formula.

Alot of people try out omaha, run well first, think it's easy and then return a while later moaning about running badly. Running bad at Omaha is alot worse than hold'em since there are alot more coinflips for stacks in Omaha.

Learn to nut peddle the lower limits profitablly over a decent sample size.
Move up and switch to 6max, play TAG.
As you get to know the players and rhythms loosen up and play more hands.
    Post hands here. Read 2+2.
    Win monies.

Is this the Rolf Slotboom book?

Secrets of Professional Pot-Limit Omaha: How to Win Big, Both Live and Online

Available from the book depository for €15, free delivery.

I like Omaha (Hi Lo) but it is full of wild swings... the basic trick is to have the best drawing hands in my not very well informed opinion. Beware of being counterfeited.

I know for Omaha Hi LO the best starting hand is AA23 double suited... what is it for Omaha Hi... AAKK ds.. or AAKQ ds... or ???? ds

    Cheers
    Joe

ick, after a small bit of Omaha while waiting for a HE seat in the jackpot. I've firmly sworn off Omaha untill such a time that I ehh, manage to play it somewhat decent.

the general standard of omaha online is pretty poor at the the lower levels, i poker is brutal so if you are comfortable playing there you should have no trouble with the standard of players. pokerstars is another however. standard is much worse then holdem. i have always found them very passive in omaha too.
