I have had the pleasure of getting knocked out of the SE early on, actually the earliest i have ever been knocked out in a live tourney. these two hands are annoying me so opinions on how i played them are most welcome.

    Hand 1

roughly 10 minutes in with 7.8k in front blinds are 50/100 in LP position i find JJ with 3 limpers and a reraise to 350 i make it 750 to go limpers fold and OR calls the reraise

flop comes 456 rainbow villian bets 1000 and i reraise to 2500 and he calls
turn comes a 3 and villian pushes all in.... i dwell and fold showing the jacks, villian said he had 77 but did not show, i just dont know:mad:

    Hand 2

5 mins later and i have 4.5k in front, in SB i complete a 4 way limped pot with J6h, i lead for 350 BB calls and late limper raises to 1000 (i think) me thinks he has standalone A and push the rest in to find i am drawing dead to his flopped house AJ.

Hand 1 - Did or overplay the JJ or did i get bluffed on that straight board

Hand 2 - Could i have played this differently

Really annoyed at the moment after travelling down from Drogheda to play in this one:(

I hate your reraise bet size in the 1st hand. By reraising to 750 here, your not getting any information on the strength of your opponnents hand because he's getting value to call here with any two cards.I would have reraised pre flop to 1150 or 1200. Now he bets the floip and you min-reraise him again(as good as).Its like you want him to call your reraises, and with JJ,I'd certainly be trying to define his hand.

In hand 2, you must have forgotten to post what the flop is.
edit: I presume the flop came A-J-J. Its a bit results based, but reallyyour not getting away from that flop once youve hit itand your relatively low stacked.

PS: Does the deep stack game in the SE not have a 25-50 blind level??

sounds like the second hand was just unlucky...

I don't like the first hand at all....

If your going to RR preflop at least trebble his bet.... don't min raise him... I would make it 1500...he could well have 77 here or ATC.. don't really think he would push with 77. you could well have been bluffed here...

BTW Connie... I reall don't like the suggestion of min raising the flop!! ( I hate any form of min raising unless there is a really good reason for it)

yeah i missed first level so sat in as the blinds went to 50/100, i thought my pre flop raise was a bit light but when raising on the flop i knew i was ahead but in hindsight should have closed it off there an then

yeah mac the more i think the more i feel i got bluffed off the first hand as my rr were so light on both occasions. could not find a call with that board and the fact it was the first hand i got involved in (i know this should not matter though!!)

Although I think you might have got bluffed here... I'm still not calling in my first few mins for my stack...... I just think you got yourself into a situation where you could have got bluffed by your bet sizing...

    Hi Mac,
I think you misread my post.I never suggested minraising. Actually, I hate the effing thought of it,not to mind the act of it.Or is there something Im missing?

Ah! I think I've spotted it. When I said "Now he bets the pot and you min-raise him again", I was talking about what the OP actually did in the hand.
Let me repeat If ,in your poker career, you min-raise even once, its once too often in my opinion.
