    is this the right place? i apologise if not.

    anyways. i was talkin to a mate of mine about, god knows what, and then i thought it would be cool to have a mini festival kind of thing of our own. I miss ****** ****** this year:( and thought it would be cool to organise something like this ;

    I ask 2 or three bands i know to play an unpaid gig, friends like where they play 3 or 4 times. 30 minute set say. My mates do the same, and these bands do the same. so, we ende up with about 30 or 40 unsigned bands lookin to do this. the bands pay say 5 or 10 euro (per member) which will go to booking a venue with three or four function rooms to hold say 100 people (un realistic number perhaps, but i bleive do able). now, the bands will have invited 10 people , maybe more, who will pay 7 euro for a ticket to see their friends band and many more. the ticket money goes back to the bands from hiring the room, or if theyre cool with it, to the promoters, whatever the cost.

    i figure that i can keep a bebo page for the event showing the bands playing, where people can listen to their tracks and find out about these bands they want to see. overall, i would like it to raise the awareness of these bands, so they can have a greater attendance at their own gigs, and most importantly it gets different bands together to jam while not onstage, and find some interesting support bands.

    anyone think this is remotley possible? and would you do it? would you join for some fun in a gig that would last from 1 o clock to about 8 maybe 9 if possible where you could play 4 shows?
