    Hi,

My daughter just got a new 30gb ipod and I'm having major problems connecting it to itunes (latest version).

Every time I start itunes i get the following message:

"iPodService Module has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

itunes doesn't close but there is no sign ofd the ipod.

I understand that the ipodservice module controls the ipod when connected to the pc and should automatically detect the ipod.

When I open windows explorer, I can see the ipod and can see the directory structure (Contacts, Notes, Calenders and ipod control). I even managed to copy a mp3 to the Notes folder).

When the ipod is not connected, I can navigate to the music file saved in the Notes folder but I can't get it to play.

When the ipod is connected to the pc there is a constant "Do not disconnect" message flashing on the ipod.

Anybody have any idea how to fix this or even know the directory structure for the ipod so I can at least copy a load of music over using windows exploere and then just listen to them.

I pretty desperater - we're going on holidays in the morning and a grupmy 13 year old is not the start to the holiday I wanted!!!

    TIA,

    O29
