    Evening all,

Given that tomorrow 07/07/07 is to be a good luck day, it got me thinking, for a bit of fun, what would your main wish be?

Mine would obviously be world peace etc etc:p :D

Actually mine would be for good health, a row to be over and a HUGE win in the lottery so I could buy an Aston Martin DB9, give up work and go live in the sun. Oh and I'd wish to be a man for a day too, just for fun

I'd wish for good weather for the next few weeks at least, off on holidays tomorrow and we are not going far hence the weather wish. Also for the tiler to finish tiling the bloody house so I can move in and stop living out of boxes ::mad:

Seriously one wish would be simply let everyone......... to get on for one day and see if it would change opinions in the world. OOO and let Stoner see a ghost

i'd wish to win the lottey in few a months time

    because....

if we all wish to win the lottery we might win at the same time and will only get a few € each,

Don't think 2PAC would be paying a visit to dear old Dublin though would he,probably has some score to settle 'in da hood':D

Anyone know why 7 is considered to be a lucky number?

Oh look, you have the 7th post in the thread about the 7/7/7

Seemingly it has religious connoctions (god built the earth in 7 days) and because it's the sum of 3 and 4, which by themselves seem to have some significance. I'm sorta seeing how 21 could be luck squared to some extent, lucky 7 by magic 3, although I haven't any theories to offer beyond this.

Coincidentally, that link says 666 is the number of the beast because man was created in 6 days... I bet you could put significance towards most numbers though, as well as saying each number is bad and good for whatever reason, as another link I read is saying 6 is a lucky number, so I guess it's a cultural thing, seeing as I've referenced 4 being lucky in our culture, in Chine 4 is considered to be unlucky because it looks like the symbol for death, whereas 13 is lucky for some; I actually consider it a lucky number myself!

I imagine I could prolly go on about the significance of numbers, especially with Google open, so I'm gonna stop here, but provide a couple more links:

Edit: As for wishing... I think I'd need to give it some thought, although I can't think of anything I'd want to wish for, save for things to go smoothly over the next couple weeks, as I am in the process of getting a damnage assessment for my digital camera, and at the end of this month, I'm taking a ferry to Ireland, among other things.

So you can sorta see how 7 squared is 21? Ironically, I think we've covered this before ableit in a different thread.

covered what before - given that 7/7/07 has only occurred today?

Is it such a sin that stormkeeper went slightly off topic?

This thread is just a bit of fun after all

It wasn't about being off topic because he wasn't we had a thread before on lucky/unlucky numbers and me and Andy discussed that 7 squared isn't 21 its 49.

I suppose its an in joke.

6th, if you've nothing to contribute to the topic, don't post.

he never said 7 squared, he said luck squared, althought technically it would be luck by magic.

Hee hee,let me think now..........hmmmm, oh I know...I would wish for a wish every day for the rest of ALL my lives, yeah, sounds good!!!!!

Didn't see a ghost lads, although maybe you just wished in general with no time frame.

I never use the number 13 in work related estimates, not that it has been helping or anything lately.

So did anyones wishes come true ? Should we expect to see Ladybird pulling up to the next meeting in a DB9 (I want a spin in it if you do :) ) ?

None of mine did unfortunatly, at least not quite yet anyway, but I'm not giving up on them.

Then again 19 has always been my lucky number for some reason, so I have to hope someone invents a 19 month calander by the year 2019. :)

Well no luck on the DB9 unfortunately......what else did I wish for oh yep Lotto...........not so far but my fingers are crossed (which makes it interesting that I'm still typing doesn't it:p ;) )

I actually read that in Chinese culture that 8/8/08 will be a much more lucky date, although that's more to do with the Chinese, if I'm not mistaken.... I may have got the cuture wrong, but the dates not so.

And nothing came true for me yet, did have a case of surrealism though...
