    Hey guys,

I'm looking to get back into Tennis and am really interested in just having a place to go play to be honest indoors when the weather is crap (which is 365 days a year to be honest ) and play a set or two. Does anyone know how much it costs in Westwood or any of these other places around to just have access to the tennis areas and play tennis indoors?

    Cheers...

afaik, westwood is 75 a month and a 200 joining fee. I work with a woman who plays somewhere in Dalkey. I'll ask her when she gets back from holidays.

Does the gym membership include tennis court membership as well? I may have to take up on that...

My understanding is that there is one membership and it includes everything, even membership of the other westwood sites (I use clontarf for the 50m pool). I could be wrong though.

Pretty sure theres none in dalkey. I play in glenageary it has 9 astro courts, all outdoors. Theres sandycove tennis club aswell but that has no indoor courts aswell and your not likely to get a membership there.

westwood is the only place i know of with indoor courts, unless UCD has some? Westwood gym membership allows you to use the courts.

Yes, joining the gym entitles you to use the tennis courts. You can book them up to a week in advance and there is no additional charge for members to use them. There is social tennis once a week. You have to pay for any classes you might want to take and there are good coaches available for private lessons too.

Hunnymonster is spot on with the fees too. They regularly run joining offers which reduce the joining fee if a member refers you.

Don't pay the €200 joining fee. A bit of haggling will get them down, I got in for €80.

You might want to check out Templeogue Tennis Club near Templeogue Village. I don't think there is any indoor court thou.
