How would I make photos put on laptop from Digital Camera sd card smaller in size. They are about 0.8mb I see others that are only 0.2mb.
Would I need photosuite software? Thanks:(

On my digital camera there is a setting with allows you to take photos at different sizes. Does your camera have this feature? Otherwise try this free edititng software: http://www.irfanview.com/

you could resize your images on your pc using a image editing software >>ifranview (as barrett suggested) will do the job and its free:D

or also just reset your camera so that it takes pictures in 3m or 1.5m pixels other than 5 million pixels or whatever your higgest settings is, it makes no difference to the quality of the pic (imo), the pictures will be smaller in size and take up less space on your hard drive.

As with some photo editing packages go:

    File > Save As

Select jpeg & there might be another tab which allows you to adjust the resolution of your image using a slider.

Or you could just reduce the resolution but rename before saving.

download the XP Power toy called image resizer clickme

then right click on any image/s and click resize. Then go make yourself a cup of joe as you've now saved yourself 5 minutes from not having to open up a program and resize each photo 1 by 1.

+1 for Image Resize tool ^. Use it all the time for when I'm putting photos online.

That tool ^^ is legendary - But I changed to a mac recently so wrote a java app to reduce a whole folder of jpegs at once. Works well for web images - Degrades them a little too much though for anything else.
