    Can you restart the print spooler service?

    Go to Start=>Run

    Type services.msc

    Click ok.

    On the screen that appears scrool down until you see the print spooler. Righ click and start or restart.

    In that services.msc window right click on the spooler and go to properties. Select the dependances tab and make a list of the items that are there...

    Close out of the properties and find each of the dependences that were listed and start them - if that all goes well try and start the spooler again. If not post any errors you get and from what dependences.

    ok there were two dependencies, and one depended on the other as well. one was working but the other wasnt. so i clicked start on it and the following message came up.

    errror 1053: the service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

    Did you try doing a cold restart before you started installing/uninstalling...

    I bet if you had plugged the printers out and restarted the comps from cold the problem may have resolved itself...
