had the misfortune of trying to log on to internet the other day in friends industrial unit

realised it was dial up shock horror and then speeds were verg sluggish

he told me it was an ISDN line and he just plugged modem into telephone socket

was thinking an adapter of some kind was needed as im sure the modem in his pc isnt an ISDN modem

no - his modem is just the standard 56k (??) modem.

a company called Eicon manufactures ISDN pci cards. Do a google on them, should be able to find one cheaply in UK. also check out ebay.
