Just lookin for accommodation for ucd for next year and rathmines seems reasonably priced but is it convenient for ucd? There doesn’t seem to be a bus from there to ucd. Anyone here lived there nd went to ucd?

I am currently living in the Rathmines area. There is the number 11 bus that runs from Ranelagh to UCD, also UCD is within walking or cycling distance.

The most convenient place is probably around the Closnkeagh area but it's very expensive. If you're lazy, go for somewhere on a bus route. The 17, 10, 46a, 3 all go to UCD.

Unless you're going to cycle, its not realistic.

The 11 bus is terrible (really terrible!)

On the other hand, the area is cheap(ish) but I'd really reccomend looking for Booterstown or somewhere similar. You don't want to be wasting time on too much transport.
