    Hey folks.

I'm back for a little more advice. Hopefully in the future I can return any favors.

I'v been adviced (at this very forum) to check out Kyokushin with the mmaireland guys. Which I intend to do later today (thurs).

But in the spirit of checking out as many clubs as possible, to find the right place to devote the next x years to...

anyone know of anyone else teaching Kyukushin karate in the greater Dublin area? At as high a level i'm told these guys teach at.

    Thanks again

I'll just bump this along for the attention of ShaneT as I seem to recall him posting about a guy out in Swords teaching it.

Or check out Shane's place down in East Wall, he's also the owner of maireland.com

    Cheers Mairt.

Ian, on the original thread - there was a post from "OldBloke" (real name: Shane Lalor). He's a really good instructor and a top bloke. I've been in touch with him for years (prior to my move to Ireland) and, given more time, I'd train with him personally in Kyokushin.

I'm sure Shane would love to hear from you. You can find details on Kyokushin in Dublin here: www.kyokushinireland.com

Shane runs the site and his contact details are on the site. Where someone is interested in fighting all ranges, Shane tends to point people to me. Where people are interested in pure Kyokushin (standup range) then I point people to him. He runs classes in Swords and Killester himself.

If you plan on popping down tonight - give me a call (087 792 8363).

    Cheers.
    -ShaneT.

    ShaneT

As ever you are a true gent.

    Ian

Shane is correct - we do send peope to ech other depending on what they are looking for. As regards the competition side of Kyokushin - thats really down to the individual and a very small part of what we do.

Enjoy the session with the other Shane

Thanks. Both of you. If only all business was run like yours in Dublin maybe everyone wouldn't be so depressed and angry.

I would like to check out your schools as well oldbloke, however I'm cabinteely based so Finglas and killester are a bit of stretch, even when i'm back in college on thomas st and already in the city centre the journey home from killester would be quite the trek.

Still I'l drop up 'n have a look. It might be worth the anguish
